The Golden age of video games

In the 90s, I believe it was the golden age of video games. It is because of the success of Sony Play Station and Sega Saturn. Nevertheless, video games started to be popular in Personal computer. At that period of time, the Sega Saturn was representing video games in 2D and the Sony Play Station was representing the technology of 3D in a video game. Although both companies were using different kind of technologies, we would see they did have some command innovation in a video game. Particularly, the theme of a video game has been expanding to different direction. We would see video games in action, RPG, ARPG, racing and shooting.
